How To Combine Multiple Workbook to One Workbook In Excel
ChannelExcel 10 tutorialChapters
Description from the creator
Combine multiple excel workbooks into one master workbook using VBA. The macro we are using can open excel files from a folder, copy their worksheets into separate worksheet in a master workbook and automatically close the source files. All you need to do is specify the folder path once and run the macro.

I created this VBA macro when I was running a marketing campaign. Every now and then we had to download data from different platforms and then we needed to combine it into one workbook for efficient decision making. I was tired of doing that every day. So, I created an excel macro to solve this repetitive and time-consuming task. All I needed to do was put all the files that I wanted to combine into one predetermined folder and then run the macro. Within seconds all the files would be combined.

As we are using VBA we need to open the visual basic editor. To do that click on the “Developer” tab (youtu.be/jkSLYLk0OHU), click on “Visual Basic”, then Click on “Insert” and select “Module”.
A new window will open and you need to write the code. You can also access the code here: msexceltutorial.com/post/How-To-Combine-Multipl…
1:51 *Edit The Code to Insert the Proper File Path*
In the second line of the code you’ll find Path = "", inside the quotation mark, enter the folder path where you have the workbooks that you want to merge. You can find the folder path in File Explorer by navigating to the folder where your files are stored. Copy the path from there and add a backward slash (\) at the end of the path.
2:51 *Run The Code to Combine Multiple Excel Sheets into One*
Once the files are placed in the designated folder and the file path is entered correctly in the code, you can now run the macro. To do that click on the “Developer” tab and then click on the “Macros”. A popup window will open with all the macros available in this workbook. Select “GetSheets” from the list and click “Run”. Done. Excel will now run the macro and combine all those workbooks into one master workbook.
Remember to save the master workbook as an Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook (.xlsm). Otherwise, the macro will not be saved, and it won’t be available the next time you open the workbook.
