There is times when you need to check and know your motherboard model number, you can do this in a number of different ways and i will show you some ways on how to do this without even opening the computer case.
MSI, EVGA, ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock
Open command prompt and type:
wmic baseboard get product,manufacturer,version,serialnumber
Use CPUZ
cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Use Belarc Advisor
belarc.com/products_belarc_advisor
Use msinfo32
