How to Make Clear Ice Cubes the Easy Way
50% off the tray & bottle opener w/ this link: trck.me/tray50/
There are many ways to make crystal clear ice cubes, but this is probably the simplest way to do so rather than having to boil or use distilled water. In most cases regular tap water will work, but if Your water has a lot of minerals or impurities in it, You'll have to use distilled water or boil it.
Step 1: Gather Your supplies. You'll need a cooler thats small enough to fit in Your freezer, but big enough to fit an ice cube tray inside. I recommend the Coleman personal cooler and the ISKØLD silicone ice cube tray because I like the look of the larger cubes.
Step 2: Place the ice cube tray inside the cooler and fill the the cube tray with water, and the cooler with water until it hits the brim of the ice cube tray. This will help insulate the water while its freezing in the tray and slow the freeze time.
Step 3: Place the cooler inside the freezer with the top off or open. We are trying to accomplish something called 'directional freezing' so we need to leave the top open so the water can freeze from the top down. Remember to check the setting in the freezer so thats its not set at the coldest setting.
Now all You have to do is wait 24hrs for the water to freeze and You'll be able to enjoy Your jumbo clear ice cubes!
