If your spouse had an affair (or is still in an affair) and you want to know what you can do to “get back” at them, there are four things you should know.

Let us start off by saying you can’t “get back” at your spouse for having an affair...Whatever you may try to “get back” at them, it can never really satisfy your hurt and pain. Revenge doesn’t work and it can make things much WORSE.

So what CAN you do? Is there anything that actually works!? Yes.

What is it? To work on “you.” YES- we’ve seen this in the lives of thousands and thousands of people. When your spouse had an affair, or is still in an affair, you can focus on the wrong things:
wanting to control him…
making her feel bad…
...or even telling everyone else around you just how bad your spouse is.

Unfortunately any of these actions leave a person feeling MORE empty than before. We know that people don’t make the best decisions in a state of pain- or a negative state of mind. And, while you can’t control what your spouse does, you CAN control you. The only thing that actually works is to work on you. It’s not because your spouse “deserves” this. It’s not about your spouse. It’s about you. You deserve to be your best.

What does this look like? Physically, take good care of your body. Intellectually, fill your mind with good things- learn something new! Emotionally, surround yourself with encouraging environment.
