Fighting in Oblivion is one of those things that is easy to learn, but hard to master. Sometimes though, it's just hard to learn :)

Fighting in Oblivion consists of three things: your position relative to the enemies, your physical weapon, and your magic. If you can learn to master these three things, you will be a god in combat. There are other things too, like gear types, attributes, acrobatic skill, and just about every other thing, but we just want to focus on the three main things.
