fitforafeast.com/kids_fitness_fit_kids.htm Front walkover gymnastics tutorial - how to do a front walkover. You should master your bridge first, before you practise the front walkover using some of these tips.

Here is a video that will help you will backbends and recovery: youtube.com/watch?v=7daapJtgjys

Here is a newer video for back bend kickovers: youtube.com/watch?v=a8JWgwZ_4Qc

We had alot of requests to make a video about how to do a front walk over so hope this helps! It is best to practise on mats or a softer surface with nothing in the way you can bump up against. It is also a good idea to have a spotter or trainer to help support you and keep you from falling.

As with any gymnastics exercise you want to warm up muscles first with some stretches and go at your own pace so you avoid injury. Here is a good warm up video before you do gymanstics: youtube.com/watch?v=E7mA6g-O6Nc

See some of our stretching videos on more tips for warm up exercises on our channel: youtube.com/fitforafeast.

If you need to work on back flexibility, try these upper body stretches: youtube.com/watch?v=0a4Xng4jYRk

You can also check out our back stretches video with gymnastics Coach Don: youtube.com/watch?v=1oILV_z5nFM

Front walkovers should be done in one smooth move with your legs stretched and your feet pointed. Cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts perform front walkovers as part of their routines. We have lots of performance videos on our channel where you can see front walkovers in our acro dance videos, including this one: youtube.com/watch?v=CPndGmSUHdw

Have fun doing your front walkovers. Just try getting them at first, then you can work on technique and making them look smooth and flowing. We read all of our comments so let us know how you are doing below or leave a message on our facebook page: facebook.com/fitforafeast
