Description from the creator

Cabinet crown molding transforms a standard kitchen into something that looks custom — here's the exact cut sequence, angles, and tips that make the difference between tight joints and gaps.

Crown molding on cabinets is one of the highest-ROI kitchen upgrades you can do yourself. The hardest part is the corner cuts — crown sits at a compound angle between the wall and ceiling, so your miter saw settings need to be dialed in. For a 90-degree inside corner: set your saw to 31.6 degrees and tilt to 33.9 degrees. Outside corners are the mirror image. I walk through every cut in this video.

TOOLS USED:
→ DEWALT 10-Inch Miter Saw Single Bevel (DWS713): amzn.to/36Hay3x
→ IRWIN Level I-Beam 72-Inch: amzn.to/3qMOHym
→ DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Impact Driver (DCF787C2): amzn.to/3GAb94M

Work in this sequence: measure and plan your runs → cut and dry-fit all pieces before nailing → nail the longest straight runs first → cope or miter the corners last → caulk and paint.

PRO TIP: Always cope inside corners instead of mitering them — coped joints stay tight even when wood expands and contracts. Mitered inside corners open up over time.
