How to dress out your artificial Christmas Tree
ChannelHayes Garden WorldDescription from the creator
Dressing out your artificial Christmas tree to look the best it can be involves more than just letting the branches drop and pulling out a few branches here and there. Start by taking out the tree stand and forming into an X shape but don't put in the screw. Next take the base section, this is usually the heaviest and the pole is tapered at one end, place into the stand and secure by tightening the screw. Let the branches drop into place and starting on the bottom layer, pull the branches out and up to a 45 degree angle, alternating between pulling the branches up and pulling them out horizontally. Continue round the tree until all the lower branches have been dressed out, move up to the next layer and do exactly as you did for the base layer. When the whole section has been dressed out insert the middle portion and continue dressing out. When it comes to the top section this is easiest done off the tree if you have a 5ft+ tree and then inserted into the middle section fully assembled. The top section is made to accurately represent a real tree so will not be as full and bushy as the bottom segments.
Once all the tree is dressed out stand a few yards off it and walk round to see where there are gaps then just tweak the branches to fill the gaps.
