Description from the creator

Dry, cracked hands from DIY and outdoor work heal faster with the right routine — here's what actually works and why most people's approach makes it worse instead of better.

Most people try to heal cracked hands by applying lotion during the day. The problem: lotion evaporates in minutes during work and most lotions don't penetrate deeply enough to repair cracks. The method that actually heals: heavy cream or petroleum jelly applied at night + cotton gloves worn while sleeping. The overnight occlusion drives the moisturizer into the skin while your hands are still and not exposed to air, soap, or tools.

📦 TOOLS USED:
→ DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Impact Driver (DCF787C2): amzn.to/3GAb94M
→ Stanley FatMax Tape Measure 25 ft: amzn.to/3kgGJ02

Avoid washing hands with hot water — it strips protective oils faster than cold or lukewarm water. Use a fragrance-free soap and apply cream immediately after washing, before hands are fully dry. The moisture barrier forms best when skin still has some surface moisture.

💡 PRO TIP: Deep heel-crack-style splits on the hands won't heal without liquid bandage applied to the crack. The crack opens every time you flex your hand and re-tears before healing. Liquid bandage seals the crack so tissue can knit together. Apply to clean dry skin and let cure before using hands.
