TOOLS YOU'LL NEED:
→ Jigsaw (for cabinet cutout)
→ Drill + hole saw (for ceiling penetration)
→ Duct tape (foil type for ductwork joints)
→ Wire connectors and electrical tape
INSTALLATION STEPS:
1. Mount the hood to the wall or cabinet using provided hardware — use a level
2. Cut the cabinet or soffit for the duct opening per the template
3. Route the 6" duct through the cabinet, ceiling, and exterior (shortest path)
4. Seal all duct joints with foil HVAC tape — not regular duct tape
5. Connect the wiring: black to black, white to white, bare to green ground
6. Install the filters and test
Ductless (recirculating) hoods are not recommended for gas ranges — they circulate grease vapor rather than exhausting it.
