Description from the creator

Asadero cheese originates from north Mexico and is a pasta filata (stretched curd) cheese. It is made from cow's milk and is used in Mexican cuisine.

The cheese is not to be confused with Queso Oaxaca which is formed into threads and wrapped into a ball.
