Help relieve baby gas before it causes abdominal pain, bloating, or diarrhea.

Step 1: Move baby's knees
Move your baby's knees back and forth, like they're pedaling a bike. The motion of the lower body helps relieve gassy pressure.

Step 2: Burp your baby
Burp your baby halfway through the feeding process and then again after feeding to release air bubbles.

Tip
Support your baby on your shoulder and pat their back firmly to burp them.

Step 3: Prevent gas
Prevent gas by feeding your baby before they get too hungry and cry. Crying will cause them to swallow air, which will cause gas.

Step 4: Relieve gas pains
Relieve gas pains by giving your baby a back rub.

Step 5: Apply a warm compress
Apply a warm compress to your baby's lower abdomen to help relieve gas.

Step 6: Limit gas-forming foods
Limit gas-causing foods from your diet if you are a mom who is breastfeeding your child. What you eat may be affecting the child.

Tip
Bananas, beans, eggs, and cabbage are gassy foods.

Step 7: Limit fruit juice
Limit fruit juice intake to 4 to 6 ounces a day for babies older than six months. Too much juice causes gas, diarrhea, tummy pain, and bloating. Burp those gas pains away for a healthy, gas-free baby.

Did You Know?
It is common for people to pass gas six to 20 times a day.
