In brief

Craft a classic Mojito just like the legendary La Bodeguita del Medio does—refreshing, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. This quick guide shows how to muddle mint, mix rum, lime, and syrup, then top it with soda for a crisp, bubbly drink ideal for warm evenings or lively gatherings.

Key steps

  1. Tear and clap mint leaves to release their oils
  2. Place mint in a hi-ball glass
  3. Add rum, lime juice, and sugar syrup
  4. Fill the glass with ice

Questions & answers

How much mint should I use?

6–8 fresh mint leaves work best.
