Oblivion has many obvious metas in it's skill creation. Not so obvious is the meta for the Atronach build.

The Atronach is the birth sign that gives you a bunch of magic, but no magic regeneration. This can seem really bad at first, but in the long run, is actually very useful. With the Atronach, the player gets a 50% chance to absorb spells, which means that high damage magic enemies aren't so bad in the late game. Another thing is just the generally high magic you get, which is useful if you can't run around wan wait for magic to recharge.
