Gary's going to show us how to do a back handspring back tuck, nice. The first step when learning this skill is to master both skills, so there's two skills in that sequence, a back handspring and a back tuck. In order to do them together you need to be able to do a really nice back handspring, and back tuck.

Once you can do a back handspring and a back tuck separately, the next step is to do a back handspring rebound. So you do a back handspring and then you punch off the floor with your feet and get your arms up. Go ahead. Back handspring, punch. Very nice.

Once you can do that, you can then incorporate a high mat. You can do a back handspring, punch, land on your back. Then, roll over. Now Gary's going to do a back handspring, rebound and land on his back. Go ahead, nice.

Next step is to roll over. Make sure you keep your hands up here when you land on the mat to protect your neck. Once you're able to do that, you can do it by yourself on the floor with or without a spot, whichever you feel comfortable. I'll demonstrate with and without a spot.

This is a back handspring back flip with a spot, nice.Once you are comfortable doing all the drills, and doing it with a spot, I'd say it's safe to try it by yourself on the real floor. And that is how you do a back handspring back flip.
