Exporting is the final and most overlooked step of a Lightroom workflow. Do it wrong and you'll send oversized files to clients, upload blurry images to Instagram, or worse, hand over full-resolution photos before you've been paid.

In this final episode of our Intro to Lightroom Classic series, we walk through the Export dialog from top to bottom: naming and organizing your files, choosing the right file format and color space, resizing for the web, adding a watermark to protect client proofs, and saving all of it as one-click export presets.

CHAPTERS
00:00 Intro to Exporting in Lightroom Classic
01:38 Selecting Your Favorite Images to Export
02:33 Naming Your Exported Files
04:14 Choosing JPEG Quality and Color Space
06:53 Saving Your Settings as an Export Preset
10:02 Resizing Images for Web and Instagram
15:17 Creating a Large Watermark for Client Proofs
17:19 Exporting and Reviewing Your Client Proofs

THE STEPS
1. Filter your Library by star or color rating, then select all and open the Export dialog with File, then Export
2. Choose an export location and, under File Naming, build a custom name that appends something like "full size" to the original filename
3. Under File Settings, export as JPEG at full quality and set the color space to sRGB for accurate colors on the web
4. Leave Image Sizing off for full-resolution exports, but check Resize to Fit and set a long-edge dimension like 1200 pixels for web and social uploads
5. Turn on Output Sharpening for screen viewing when you're resizing images down
6. For client proofs, add a large, centered watermark under the Watermarking section so reviewers can't lift your images before you're paid
7. Click Add in the Preset panel to save your settings as a reusable export preset, so future exports are one click instead of a full dialog
8. Right-click your selected images and choose your saved preset from the Export submenu to export instantly next time
