How to cancel a Xbox subscription | Microsoft

If you want to cancel a Xbox subscription, you need to turn off recurring billing. With recurring billing off, your subscription will expire when all remaining prepaid time is used.

Here is how:
1. Go to account.microsoft.com/ and sign into the account that is tied to your subscription
2. Select Services and subscriptions
3. Find the subscription you want to cancel and select Manage
4. Select Cancel Subscription
5. To get a refund, select Cancel now and get a refund, and Cancel subscription

Things to keep in mind:
1. If you can't cancel your subscription, your subscription might be suspended because of a past-due charge which will need to be paid before you can turn off recurring billing.
2. If you see options to renew or turn on recurring billing but not to cancel a subscription, recurring billing is off for that subscription and you won't receive additional charges.
3. If you don't see any subscriptions, but still have a charge for one: Make sure you're signed in to the correct Microsoft account or contact your financial institution to help with fraudulent transactions.
4. If you're paying for another person's Xbox subscription, you won’t be able to cancel it. The owner of the Microsoft account needs to sign in and cancel the subscription.
