An exercise demo with step by step instructions and form cues of how to stability ball reverse crunch. This core exercise can be an effective movement in any workout. It progresses the reverse crunch with the addition of the resistance in using the stability ball.

These are the step by step form cues for how to stability ball reverse crunch.

Tuck your tailbone under you and draw the lower abs in so that your low back is pressed to the floor. Draw your pelvic floor muscles up.

Scoot your feet up 1/3 of the way up the sides of the ball. Squeeze the ball with the feet flexed back.

With the low back flat to the ground, tuck the knees all the way to the chest.

Curl the pelvis towards the knees as the butt lifts off the ground.
Pause at the top. Draw the belly button inward as you slowly uncurl the spine. Flatten the back on the way down. Do not allow the lowering of the legs and ball to lift or flick the low back off of the ground.

Brace deeply. Squeeze the ball and get full lift in the hips as you go up and down.
